MI-EL Christian School (MECS) was founded in September 2000. Pastor Fernando Ortiz together with his wife Walesca Ortiz, had the vision of raising up new generations of students strengthened through the Principles of Biblical Truth, and thereby producing living testimonies of Jesus Christ in this society and unto the entire world.

The Board of Directors of Elim Ministries is the authority that had designated the board of MI-EL Christian School, in order to ensure compliance and development of the school’s educational philosophy, mission, vision and purposes.

The board has established the policies of management for the institution, ensuring that Christ is the pillar and center of the school.
