On Friday, February 17, our Preschool celebrated a Dominican Day on the occasion of the 173th anniversary of the Dominican Independence.
The activity was organized by the PreSchool team of teachers and the help of our parent community. That day the students from Nido to Kindergarten came dressed in a traditional aspect of our culture, such as, “marchantas”, shoeshine boys, tourists, homeland heroes, and with typical costumes and the colors of our flag.
On this day the students received the visit of the Major League pitcher Esmerling Vargas, and enjoyed yaniqueques, Yum-Yum, and typical desserts of our country.

El pasado viernes 17 de febrero, el área de Inicial de MI-EL Christian School celebró el Día Dominicano con motivo de la celebración del 173 aniversario de la Independencia Dominicana.
La actividad fue organizada por el Equipo de maestras de Nivel Inicial y la ayuda de toda nuestra comunidad de padres. Ese día los estudiantes de Nido hasta Kinder vinieron vestidos de un aspecto tradicional de nuestra cultura, como, marchantas, limpiabotas, turistas, héroes de la Patria, trajes típicos y de los colores de la bandera.
En el Día Dominicano los estudiantes recibieron la visita del lanzador dominicano de Grandes Ligas, Esmerling Vargas, al tiempo que disfrutaron de yaniqueques, frio-frio, y dulces típicos de nuestro país.
