Meratheia is the name of the 2021-2022 graduating class, who made it known at an activity held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Elim Auditorium.

The seniors’ celebration began with a moment of praise, followed by a reflection on the Word of God led by Manuel Pérez, parent of the school. Then, a video was shown that gave way to the artistic presentation of the students, who at the end raised a sign with the name Meratheia.

Ashley Guerrero and Yamilet De Los Santos, the senior class’ president and vice president, shared with the attendees the experiences and challenges they have faced as a group, and the meaning of the name they chose.

Meratheia is made up of two Greek words; “Meraki” which means to leave an imprint of you in everything that passes through your hands; and “Aletheia” related to discovering and knowing reality.

The bible verse they chose was Romans 12:4-5: “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”.

Congratulations Meratheia! May the Lord grant you a blessed and victorious year.

 

Lanzamiento Meratheia 2022

Meratheia es el nombre de la clase graduanda 2021-2022, quienes lo dieron a conocer en una actividad celebrada el martes 2 de noviembre de 2021 en el Auditorio Elim.

La celebración del lanzamiento de la promoción inició con un momento de alabanzas, seguido de una reflexión de la Palabra de Dios dirigida por Manuel Pérez, padre del colegio. Luego se proyectó un video que dió paso a la presentación artística de los estudiantes, quienes al finalizar alzaron un letrero con el nombre Meratheia. 

Ashley Guerrero y Yamilet De Los Santos, presidenta y vicepresidenta de la promoción respectivamente, compartieron con los asistentes las experiencias y retos que han enfrentado como grupo, y el significado que tiene el nombre que escogieron. 

Meratheia está formado por dos palabras griegas; “Meraki” que significa dejar una huella de ti en todo lo que pasa por tus manos; y “Aletheia” relativo a descubrir y conocer la realidad.

El versículo lema que escogieron fue Romanos 12:4-5, “Porque de la manera que en un cuerpo tenemos muchos miembros, pero no todos los miembros tienen la misma función, así nosotros, siendo muchos, somos un cuerpo en Cristo, y todos miembros los unos de los otros”.
