2019 SPIRIT WEEK 

With the aim of uniting the entire student population and MECS collaborators in an atmosphere of celebration and healthy competition, Spirit Week was celebrated for the first time at MI-EL Christian School from March 25 to 29.

Wildcats, Wolves, Cheetahs and Black Panthers were the names of the teams created by the students from 9th to 12th grade, which faced each other in different soccer matches during this week. The staff team also participated in the last game, named MECS Sharks.

The Ninth Grade Wildcats were undefeated and took first place in the competition, while the Cheetahs (11th) reached 2nd place and The Wolves (10th) the third.

In the half time of each match choreographies were made, and the prize for better interpretation was obtained by The Wolves team.

The Spirit Week award ceremony was held at the Family Day on Saturday, March 30. Among the students who were recognized include Carlos Nouel as the top scorer, Carlos Matos as best goalkeeper, Charles Sanchez, Eduardo Dominguez, Irwin Viloria and Diego Sartori as outstanding team players of their teams.

The students Noemí Rodríguez, Candy Simón, María Fernanda Ramírez and Raquel Rodríguez were chosen by their peers to receive the Student Spirit Award for their commitment before and during the Spirit Week. Finally, the Most Popular team and Team Spirit Award were obtained by the Wildcats.

The Spirit Week was a huge success, with great acceptance among students and collaborators.

SPIRIT WEEK 2019

Con el objetivo de unificar a toda la población estudiantil y colaboradores de MECS en un ambiente de celebración y sana competencia, la semana del 25 al 29 de marzo, se celebró por primera vez en MI-EL Christian School el Spirit Week.

Wildcats, Wolves, Cheetahs y Black Panthers fueron los nombres de los equipos que conformaron los estudiantes de 9no a 12mo grado respectivamente, los cuales se enfrentaron en diferentes partidos de fútbol durante esta semana. El equipo de colaboradores también participó del último partido, apodados con el nombre MECS Sharks.

Los Wildcats de Noveno grado quedaron invictos y obtuvieron el primer lugar de la competencia, mientras que los Cheetahs (11mo) alcanzaron el 2do lugar y The Wolves (10mo) el tercero.

En el medio tiempo de cada partido se realizaron coreografías, y el premio por mejor interpretación lo obtuvo el equipo The Wolves.

El acto de premiación del Spirit Week se llevó a cabo en el Family Day celebrado el sábado 30 de marzo. Entre los estudiantes que fueron reconocidos figuran Carlos Nouel como el más goleador, Carlos Matos como mejor portero, Charles Sánchez, Eduardo Domínguez, Irwin Viloria y Diego Sartori como jugadores más destacados de sus equipos.

Las estudiantes Noemí Rodríguez, Candy Simón, María Fernanda Ramírez y Raquel Rodríguez fueron elegidas por sus compañeros como las de mayor espíritu durante la preparación y desarrollo del Spirit Week. Finalmente, los reconocimientos de equipo con más seguidores y con el mayor espíritu lo obtuvieron los Wildcats. 

El Spirit Week llegó para quedarse en el calendario escolar, gracias al éxito y  gran aceptación que tuvo entre estudiantes y colaboradores.
